I have sent this message to a number of others; medical practitioners, persons who are in home-shares and home carers.
I heard from one source that the Review will be completed by the end of November 2025, from another that it will be at the end of December. I suggest that we get our submissions in by the end of October. Does this make sense to you? Please send emails if you need to talk or have any questions.
The lead researcher is a Dr. Eddie Bartnik of Perth Australia with Dr. Tim Stainton at UBC. Their work will be aided by an advisory group and ‘all inputs will be confidential and not shared with CLBC’.

I am not pleased that neither the Ministry nor CLBC has crafted a space in their online presence to indicate the start of the Review, how persons were chosen to be on the committee, naming them, and what the terms of reference are for the two professors and for the Committee.
The most important objection I have is that an ADM wrote, in answer to my question about how Committee participants were chosen, that the third-party goods and services providers connected to CLBC will be at least part of the sourcing for such persons.
I pointed out to an ADM and the Ministry, that Drs. Stainton and Bartnik, nor anyone else would have the contacts other than CLBC to approach the 3rd parties who would then approach persons they deem suitable to the task. My objection is that CLBC has a self-interest in ensuring that as many of the persons on the Committee should be ‘safe’ persons, just as the 3rd party groups approached to find these persons would also have a self-interest in making sure the review goes as smoothly as possible for CLBC. The members of the Committee were found and appointed quite quickly. I never heard back of course.
However, for those who doubt the initial step in creating this new external review, the CVs of these two gentlemen are extensive and they are clearly well-known in their fields. More to the point, since Dr. Stainton told me none of the information (in its raw state ) will be given to CLBC, this is encouraging because these two gentlemen would not risk their reputations if any information leaked out to CLBC. One hopes the same respect for privacy and the intent of the professors will be held of the members of the Committee. In fact, I will ask that question.
And so, I ask, I plead, with you for two steps. The first is to submit your experiences of CLBC, with examples, timelines, whatever you can, to the Ministry at the email below. The second is to spread the word and ask others to send in the same data.
I cannot emphasize enough, though, that there cannot be any personal attacks, swearing, etc. Please stick to facts that will be useful to the researchers (the Drs). By facts, I mean not just lack of funding and so forth but how you have felt when you engaged with and were treated by CLBC.
I am sending in my own reflection papers, concerns, story etc to the email below. As above, I was assured every comment or document received will be confidential.
